Regardless of how you feel about the rain, it will always come…eventually, giving the healing and life sustaining water that mother earth needs. Water is an amazing gift, and being a Pisces, It is one of my favorite things in life, in any form. 

Oceans, lakes, streams….the rain. It is a reminder to me about flow, about allowing what is, and it always instills in me a personal strength and inspiration. I can’t help but be inspired when I sit at the bottom of a powerful waterfall or on the cliffs overlooking a tempestuous sea.

No matter how you feel about the rain, try to use it as a time to reflect.  A time to check in with your soul and replenish your own personal strength and examine your beliefs.  Is there anything you need to nurture in yourself that you have not been paying attention too? Do you need to take a day and appreciate what you have instead of what you don’t have? Take a breather from the constant “do-do-do” of life and decide how to honor yourself.  Re-evaluate anything that is not serving you. Today is just as good a day to do it. And when the sun finally comes out, it is a reminder to us that there is always sunshine after the storm. Always another day to start anew, always a great light that will shine both in you and from you, when you are honoring who you are and your magnificence.  Because, my dears, you are truly that magnificent.

Take your cue from the rain, and nurture that which is ”you”.
Growth will occur, and your light will shine…. Always.

I have come to realize that disappointments stem from all my expectations about outcomes. The outcome of a meeting, outcome of marketing a product or even an expectation about a new friend or lover. About an event or family gathering. Our expectations can be very strong and we really should do a little self-evaluation whenever disappointment knocks on our door. This is what has served me in the past.

Examine what is disappointing and decide a few things.

• Is this outcome something I can live with and still keep my integrity in tact?
• Is there an extenuating circumstance that contributed to the negative outcome like a medical condition, an extremely complicated situation or possibly a “no choice” situation that involves life or death, which is extremely rare. Something you have no control over?
• Is taking an action even necessary. A confrontation to clear the air?
• Is the person or situation something you feel strongly about or could you take it or leave it?
• How much stress is involved for you and your choice to move on any action? Is it worth it?

These are all questions only you can answer. Remember any actions or choices you make determine who you are and who you want to be in the world. Do you take the high road? As long as you are comfortable with your choices and actions, and you realize these define who you are, go for it. I think there are problems when all these factors are not weighed before you act, or don’t act for that matter. Not weighing all your options could turn into further negative situations and into that horrible state of being called “regret.” Then it might be even harder to recover “who we are” and forgive ourselves. Believe me, everyone goes thru that too.

So if some disappointment has happened in your life. If someone has hurt you, a situation has become disappointing, or you are disappointed in yourself, weigh all your action choices, and thoroughly vet them based on who you want to be. If you do this, chances are you will take the right road with integrity and grace, and you can be proud of who you are and confident of moving thru any consequences of that road. Always keeping in mind who we are, and who we want to be in this world, has a tendency to keep us on the right path. Especially when you realize you always have all the choices!

So, with that I say….Always remember and never forget…..You are Love. Beautiful, wise, powerful and complete; and youth is in your passions. Blessed Be…

Well, it’s Valentine’s Day, and I’m in beautiful Lake Tahoe again. A romantic setting…. gorgeous sunset, the lake, a fire pit, a martini, and inspiration. At least that is what comes up or me. Does it matter that I’m here alone on this day? Does it matter that I see couples everywhere, sharing their lives, dreams and moments together? Does it sting, just a little? 

 In years past it has been hard to be alone on this special of days. A day to express appreciation, caring and love for that special someone is your life. But what to do if you are currently single? What if that special “other” is not in the picture, at least for now?

I decided to treat myself to a great late lunch by the Lake at my favorite resturaunt. It is right on the lake, has picture windows and I am writing, reflecting and capturing the moment in both video and pictures, my favorite thing to do. I am so full of peace and love. Isn’t that what Valentine’s Day is all about? Do you need another person to feel those things? I don’t think so. But with that said, let’s face it, seeing a beautiful sunset, walking the bamboo forest or experiencing the power of a waterfall is just that much more  magnificent when shared. THAT is what I miss.

So if you are single, if that significant other has eluded you to date, do something for that special “you.”
That wonderful, loving person that YOU are. You deserve it. Learn to appreciate you and the time you have in this life. Appreciate the NOW that is so difficult to continually live in this crazy world. Celebrate and love the person you are! All of you. No matter what faults you think you have, or what your perception is of what you are lacking.  

By the way, we don’t need a special day to celebrate. Live the celebration of YOU every day. Make the plan to do something for your wonderful self at least once a month. Because you, my dears, are gorgeous and complete just as you are, and just as you are NOW.   You are a Goddess after all!

Love to you this Valentine’s Day. May your days be filled with Love. And here’s wishing, if you desire it, that someone special will appear in your life. Someone deserving, and exactly what you want…..to share life moments.

Sometimes on this journey, we encounter situations that test our integrity.   What do we believe, who are we, what do we want to project.  Do we compromise what we know is right even just for a little while because, well, we just “need to?” Do we have something to prove or does our mind go a mile a minute rationalizing the situation? We women are good at that. Do we take care of ourselves or someone else at the cost of our own integrity?  Do we have something we did that we are not proud of and that we beat ourselves up for?

Here’s a news flash.  Everyone does.  Cut your self a break!  As women, we evaluate, questions, evaluate again, dissect a situation to death! Why this, why that, what did I do to bring this on, and even “What was I thinking!”

All we have to remember, at any time, in any situation, is who we are and what we want to be is defined by our actions.  That really is it.  And if we stumble, if we fall, if we experience a “What the hell did I do” moment, it’s ok.  Make amends and apologies if it’s needed, and forgive yourself….for being human, having a lapse in judgement or for losing yourself for the moment, and move on with your fantastic, wonderful life. Because it is! Believe that too, and if you don’t, well that’s another subject all together.  “What do you need to be happy.”

Integrity.  It is what we believe and how we act based on those beliefs.  Make no mistake.  Actions speak louder than words and if you are not acting in alignment with your beliefs or words, you might need to evaluate what you really do believe, or who you really are.  And people, that can be a painful realization sometimes.  But not one that can’t be changed. That’s what life is all about, the journey…constant change….evaluation of self, connection and Love …always love.   At least that is what this writer believes.  Besides, How boring would life be without challenges, change and growth?

So as I sit by the pool in beautiful Palm Springs, (yes, I have to brag) I am grateful for everything and everyone in my life.  My family and friends fill me with love and I am blessed for it.  My work (All of the various hats I wear) fulfills me. My work relationships can be challenging, but I would have it no other way for it helps me grow. And I thank mother/father/god for my life, my experiences and the lessons that move me closer to oneness, for truly, we are all one.  Blessed be,,…

GO AND GET IT!  Whatever it is!

Yes, I’m not working today.  I had to sit down with myself yesterday and have a serious talk.  I have been running myself into the ground with work certifications, extra curricular activities and my businesses at home with no time for myself at all.  Looking in the mirror lately is just scary!  So I set some time aside to clean the house, it was such a mess.  When I was done I took a long, hot bath, went to bed early and promised myself that I had to take care of having a day off at least once a week.

Now unless you know me, you do not know how hard that is to do!  I always feel like I have to be doing something, especially for my businesses.  A very good and wise friend asked me, “Who has set the deadline on anything for your businesses?”  I had to stop and say, well me.  Why am I doing this to myself.  It is just crazy.

I told myself, well there ARE reasons.  I have to make sure I write the blog at least monthly, I have to do a News show at least monthly, I have to get the new Website up, I have to actually finish the 3 DVDs in post-production for TV ArtScapes…..and of course, I have to go to my regular work 50 hours a week!  Man, I need to get a life, I thought.

Another very good friend of mine came to my rescue a few weeks ago when I was in meltdown mode.  He said, you know, if you put all that energy into the film you want to make, you’d have it done in a year.  I thought, about it, and you know, he is so right. But would putting all my other projects on hold for a year feel like I failed? I thought it might but again, there is really no timeline but the one I have set.  And my pursuits and energy, while very diverse, have allowed me to realize and create many of my dream projects, but having limited time, exhausts me for sure!

So it’s all about permission.  Giving yourself permission to take the road and path you feel the most strongly about.  Make the decision and have laser focus on that path.  You will accomplish what you need to do, or if you don’t, you may found out you want to change that path or at least find out what NOT to do on the way to that goal.

So give yourself permission to have laser focus.  If you have other pursuits, don’t feel like you have failed, they are “on hold” for now.  While you go after your dream, and experience life to the fullest!  Blessing to all, and my you live life to the fullest!

 Hope is a very powerful thing.  It can get you thru each day when the days are filled with hardship, both emotionally and physically.  It is sometimes hard to find when the days are looking dark, you are feeling quite alone and you can’t seem to grasp any energy and picture your life in a positive light.   Here are some things that I do to turn that darkness into light.

 1)      Be still and thank the universe (This is the “God” of your faith).  Give thanks and gratitude for living, for this wonderful school of life, for this wonderful experience called “human,” flaws and all.  Truly think about all that is you, all that you have accomplished. If you feel like you have not accomplished anything, just look at the fact that you are a powerful, beautiful being.  One that has choices and control over what to create in this life.  Choice is truly a gift.  Being thankful and recognizing the gifts you have in your life, is the first step to Hope.

 2)      Get clear on what you “think” you need.  I only put it that way because sometimes what we think we need is so far from the truth.  State what this is in clear, concise sentences.  Even better to write it down because action has power and moves energy.  And always say, “I humbly request, this, or in your infinite wisdom, something better.”  This is because the universe knows exactly what we need, even though it doesn’t feel like it sometimes!

 3)      Ask the universe to provide direction for you.  Mother/Father God is very good at putting up sign posts and synchronicities in your life to point you in the right direction. It is up to us to recognize them and act.

 4)      Trust yourself when taking action…. Or no action.  I say this because sign posts and directions sometimes point to “wait.”  This can be really hard, especially for those of us who are used to action, action, and more action.  Yes, I am guilty of this, but I’ve come to realize the wisdom of doing nothing in certain situations.  No action is really an action, it is the action of wait till I receive better information, or wait because it looks like a current path is harmful to you or others.  And try not to confuse a “no action” feeling with fear of action.  This too is difficult, but if you really look at what actions are speaking to you, it should be obvious which ones are tied to fear.  Over coming that fear might be the right road.  Only you can get to the heart of that one.

 5)      One day at a time.  If you constantly look at your life in terms of past and future, you will set yourself up.  Now this is fine if your entire life has been bliss.  But hardship and pain has a way of latching onto us, living in our bodies and our souls, and cropping up as fear for future and present situations.  It’s called being Human!  Remember the past does not necessarily equal the future, and no one can predict the future.  NOW is the only way to live.  Don’t miss it by being depressed, fearful and preoccupied with “what if.” Take today for today, live life to the fullest, because TODAY is a sure thing.

 6)      Lastly, know that the universe and the energy that drives her, does not wish anything but love and the best for us. She wants us to be loved and to love…. to be creative and powerful beings, free to chose our destiny’s.  I know because I feel that love and supportive energy every day.  I see it in the beauty and balance of nature;  I see it the faces of children;  I see it when I experience a kind gesture from someone; I see it in the little miracles that happen when you least expect it.  

 Hope….. it is a blessed virtue, and I wish it for everyone so that they may find their own majesty, beauty and grace.  Love and Light, my beautiful people.  Till next time on this journey of discovery!

Some believe that 11:11 is a call to all Light workers on the planet. They believe that  are people who signed up for a mission when they were on the spirit level and before being incarnated on Earth. The mission, is to hold as much Light as possible, as strongly as possible, on the planet.  That the reason  it is so difficult to remember our origin, remember that we are all connected, remember who we really are, is because the vibration on this planet has dropped to a very, very low frequency.

Seeing the numbers on digit clocks or watches, can act as an alarm, as if to say “Pay attention!” It can be seen as a trigger to unlock the subconscious mind, our genetic encoded memories, that we are really spirits having a physical experience, not physical beings embarking on a spiritual experience.

There is another thought that 11:11 is believed to be an activator of our DNA. The belief that physical reality is a consciousness program created by digital codes. That numbers and numeric codes, define our existence. That human DNA, our genetic memory, is encoded to be triggered by digital codes at specific times and frequencies. Those codes can awaken the mind to the change and the evolution of consciousness. The most popular code of awakening – the one that most people see – is 11:11. This represents the spiraling twin strands of human DNA coming into consciousness, meaning the activation of DNA.

In Numerology, 11 represents visionary, refinement of ideals, intuition, revelation, artistic and inventive genius, avant-garde, and fame.

11 is a double digit and is therefore considered a Master or Power Number. It is a higher octave of the number two and it carries psychic vibrations and has an equal balance of masculine and feminine properties. Eleven contains many gifts including psychic awareness and a keen sense of sensitivity.

What a place.  I seem so small compared to this great Canyon, a beauty of mother earth that has been a place of wonder and astonishment for centuries.  Being here, any worries or supposed hardships in my life, any doubts, any negativity or hurt seems to melt away.  There is only Love, love of this place called Earth and its’ mysteries, love of the people I see here, love for myself; feelings of awe, blessings, and peace.  How I wish everyone could experience it. To open your heart and feel love all around and feel so full.  I tell you it is the best medicine on earth!

I am so happy and fortunate to have my friends, my work, my family….my life.  We all have hardships, to varying degrees. But no matter where our paths have taken us, we always have the power and the choice to love.  Never forget that.  You don’t have to be in a wonderful, inspiring place to feel and experience the love, all you have to do is chose it. It’s there, believe me.

This Holiday season, remember to sprinkle each day with love.  No matter where you are, no matter what time, what place, what people you are with, always remember to open your heart to Love.  Be thankful for what you have and who you are.  And know that you are loved too.

TV Screensavers to inspire, relax and romance!

So you would think that being in one of the most beautiful places on earth would make one relax, wind down and really take life slow, releasing all the tensions and problems one thinks is clogging up their life. Well, I’m here to tell you…. no! It’s not that easy for some of us.

There I was in Maui, at the beautiful Hyatt Hotel with stunning waterfalls, lagoons, and several pools right on the ocean, and it still was hard to just relax, sleep on a lounge chair or read a book, at least for an hour or two. I was still so anxious and in work mode, it was hard to “turn off” totally. I know it will take a few days…thank goodness I was there for a few days, at least I’ll be relaxed by the third day….I hope.

Does it take you some time to decompress? Do you get anxious or feel like you should be “doing” something to fill up the time? I, at least, have my videography and filming that makes me feel like I am not “wasting time.” And what is wasting time? Why do some of us feel that if we are not pursing our passions, working towards something or visiting family or friends that we are “wasting time?” I guess it comes from being a type A personality, where nothing is ever quite done, nothing is ever perfect. I have to sit down with myself and have a heart to heart talk, and give myself permission to relax. Permission to let time run out and watch it go by with absolutely no regret for not filling it with work, or calls or “business stuff.” I was going to be filming in a few days and that is my greatest joy, but until then, laying by the pool, sipping a pina colada and making new friends was just gonna have to do! It’s rough…..I know.

So give yourself permission to just be and enjoy time without feeling like you have to be somewhere, be doing anything or talking to anyone. Enjoy the “Being” and the rejuvenation will begin. You will have a fresh perspective on everything and you can actually start the process of learning how to “be” all the time, even when you are home, at work or in stressful situations. Teach yourself to take a moment to check into the “being” state. It is the Now, it is sacred, and it is necessary….for all of us.

Is it the fact that you choose something that seems unreachable or that you can never have which just points out a useless impulse to go after something unattainable. Are you constantly trying to find that perfect job, perfect partner, perfect vacation, perfect friend, perfect life? What about where you are now?  What about who is here now, the job you have now, the friends you have now, your home now? What needs to change to make you feel that you are truly happy and have it all the way you truly want it.  Well, I’ll tell you what needs to change.  YOU.

You need to change.  It’s all in your attitude and in your choice in how you choose to look at it. I’m not saying that seeking a better life, having goals and reaching for those dreams is not important, I’m just saying being miserable with your life or incomplete for being where you are in life journey is just useless and an excuse.

Choose to be happy and thankful with where you are. Make changes in your life if you want to allow the universe to present different options for you. Believe me, She will.

What’s next on your journey called life to excite, challenge, create, & love.  I don’t know about you but I want life to be an adventure, one that I live every day, (or at least on the weekends!) I can’t be bothered with those who mull thru life day after day with no purpose, challenges, passions or dreams.  To be honest, I cannot even imagine it.  How can you relate to that for goodness sakes?  It’s boring, it’s safe….. it’s time to shake it up people!  Ok, ok, I realize I’m on my soap box about passion and dreams again, and yes I have some goals I still pursue.  Keeps me active….and tired!  But I can’t go thru life waiting for the next vacation or the next relationship or the next day to do what I want.  I need to do it now, waiting is not an option when it comes to happiness.

And another thing about waiting. Clean out that closet, unclutter your life, simplify.  There is no time like the present!  You will be amazed at how this opens up your space for change both physically and mentally.

I have been blessed with 2 lives, one creative that feeds my passions and soul, and one “practical” that feeds me, literally.  And recently I just came back from beautiful Vail, Colorado shooting another title in the TV ArtScapes series. “MountainScapes.” Gorgeous rivers, waterfalls and mountains. Every time I visit nature and these beautiful places, I am inspired yet again to live each day to the fullest, to appreciate and love where I am now and who I am now.   How about you?  What are you waiting for…yet again?
